Stephen Kellogg's Old Friends Tour featuring Will Hoge

On July 28th, Blue Strawberry presents a stop on Stephen Kellogg’s Old Friends Tour, featuring a different friend in each city.  Stephen is thrilled to parter with Will Hoge at Blue Strawberry in St. Louis.  The pair will share the stage, swapping songs and stories.
Whether he’s playing music or doing stand-up, Kellogg's shows leave people inspired and restored. For more than two decades, this wordsmith, Tedx speaker, stand-up comic, author and troubadour, has delighted audiences around the world. Planet Bluegrass calls him “a first class songwriter with a poet's gift for fresh imagery,” and Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz says, “there are few people in rock n’ roll who are just so great.” He has received the Armed Forces Entertainer of the Year award and has had his work nominated for a Grammy. Rolling Stone magazine describes his sound as “John Prine fronting the Heartbreakers.” The recent “Sit Down & Stand Up” Tour was a one-man show that opened to rave reviews from fans and critics alike, culminating in a two-night filming for a forthcoming one-hour comedy special.
Will Hoge has a career that includes Number-One hits, Grammy nods, major-label record deals, and hard-won independence. Years before Americana music received its own category at the Grammy Awards, Hoge was on the frontlines, helping to pilot and popularize the genre's blend of American roots music. In the current digital era dominated by influencers seeking instant stardom, Will Hoge proudly treads the scenic route, in his journey along the Blue Highways. On  April 12, Hoge drops Tenderhearted Boys, the Grammy-nominated artist’s 14th studio album. Unapologetically contrarian, this "insurgent of authenticity" both produces and plays every instrument himself. Each track unfolds as a chapter in Hoge's sonic autobiography.
